Skinny Green Monster Smoothie

This is soooo good, and packed with vitamin A, C, K, iron, fiber, folate,
lutein, magnesium, potassium, protein and calcium!

Ingredients:
1 small frozen ripe banana, peeled 
2 cups baby spinach
1 T. Better n Peanut Butter
3/4 c unsweetend vanilla almond milk
1/2 c plain Greek yogurt (I use Greek Gods)
Optional: Replace some of the almond milk with leftover zucchini juice from this recipe.)
    
Instructions:
  Place all ingredients in blender.  Add ice (optional).  Blend until smooth.

Spicy Mocha for 1

I'm in love with the spicy mocha at Monkey Nest, and wanted to make it at home.  Here's my version!

1 packet Via or other instant coffee
1 T. cocoa powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Stevia to taste
1/3 c. milk

Put ingredients in large mug and pour in 8oz of hot water. Stir. Imbibe.

Iced Tangerine Mint Green Tea

Green tea has been cited to be beneficial when it comes to all kinds of disease, from heart disease to Alzheimer's, to many types of cancers. Read more on the benefits of green tea, at the World's Healthiest Foods website.
 
According to Dr. Oz, green tea has been shown to boost metabolism 12% by drinking just one cup; tangerine, with a chemical composition that increases sensitivity to insulin and stimulates genes that help to burn fat; and mint, a calorie-free flavor enhancer.

Well, regardless of whether these statements are true, this is darn tasty tea.

In a large pitcher, combine:
 
8 cups of brewed green tea
1 tangerine, sliced
A handful of mint leaves 
Honey to taste

 
Let the tea sit in the fridge overnight so all the flavors fuse together. Serve over ice.
